The EQUATOR Network Resource Centre provides up-to-date resources related to health research reporting mainly for:

Other users that benefit from the knowledge of principles of good research reporting include representatives of research funders, research ethics committee members, individuals and organisations involved in research education.

The resources on our website are regularly updated (see the date of the last update at the foot of each page).

Library for health research reporting

We aim to select useful resources, not create exhaustive (and exhausting) pages.

The only exception to this philosophy is a collection of reporting guidelines, which aims to be truly comprehensive. 

The EQUATOR Network is developing a digital library that will provide publications related to:

  • writing research papers:  reporting guidelines and guidance on scientific writing
  • use of reporting guidelines in editorial and peer review processes 
  • development of reporting guidelines
  • empirical evidence supporting or refuting reporting of crucial items
  • evaluations of the quality of reporting
  • editorials, comments and discussion papers relating to reporting
  • in-house developed educational materials and tools for editors, peer reviewers and researchers.

The EQUATOR Network library is currently under development and will appear on the website in the near future together with a description of how were the provided resources collected.

Meantime the library provides a collection of identified reporting guidelines, some guidance on scientific writing; research ethics, publication ethics and good practice guidelines; selected useful presentations; interesting editorials and other thought provoking articles.
