Promote responsible reporting of health research studies
The EQUATOR team is in the process of developing educational materials that will help promote responsible reporting of health research studies. These will explain why is transparent and accurate reporting so important and what are the consequences of poor reporting; provide basic principles of good research and elaborate on specific guidance relevant to each of the main study types.
The materials, including slides and notes, will be uploaded on this page sometimes in the first half of 2010.
In the meantime please feel free to print, display and distribute the EQUATOR leaflets:
- 3-fold brochure – provides basic information about the EQUATOR Network and its goals
- Website leaflet – introduces resources on the EQUATOR website and suggests how to contribute to greater transparency and accuracy of research reports
The European Journal of Clinical Investigation published 'A catalogue of reporting guidelines for health research'. The paper contains overview of EQUATOR activities and all the reporting guidelines included in the EQUATOR Library for Health Research reporting; paper is freely available.
Please let us know what you are doing to promote transparent and accurate reporting and we will highlight your effort on our website.
