The UK EQUATOR Centre’s online Publication School is now open for booking!
Publication School aims to give you the tools to plan, write, and publish clear, accurate, and impactful health-related research articles – faster and with less stress. It is designed for early-career researchers and students with limited experience leading the writing for academic manuscripts. It focuses on clinical health research, although the principles taught are applicable more widely.

Publication School is delivered by methodological and writing experts from the UK EQUATOR Centre (Oxford Branch) and the Centre for Statistics in Medicine (University of Oxford). Through practical exercises, group work, and expert feedback, you’ll learn what journals look for and how to deliver it.

Course format: Complete the course over four weeks!
When: Mondays 9:30-13:30 GMT+1, 5 Oct – 26 October 2026
Where: Online using Zoom

Course schedule:
Day 1: Overview of publishing; authorship and acknowledgement; planning a publication; choosing a journal; reporting guidelines
Day 2: Thinking about writing; writing the methods and results
Day 3: Writing the discussion, introduction, abstract, title, and cover letter
Day 4: Revising your rough draft for language and style; dealing with peer review; disseminating the article after publication; what editors want

The course pricing is £300 (discounted to £200 for all students and PPI representatives)
