New guideline for reporting the synthesis of qualitative research
07/12/2012Published in BMC Medical Research Methodology, the ENTREQ Statement (Enhancing transparency in reporting the synthesis of qualitative research) aims to help researchers to correctly report each of the phases associated with the synthesis of qualitative health research, namely searching and selecting qualitative research, quality appraisal, and methods for synthesising qualitative findings. The ENTREQ Statement consists of a checklist of 21 items arranged within 5 domains: introduction; methods and methodology; literature search and selection; appraisal; synthesis of findings.
The developers are seeking feedback from all stakeholders to inform future development of and extensions to the ENTREQ statement.
